Cut Spending Now!

The United States Government needs to start cutting spending now. These are the Departments that I would like to see go way in 10 years.
Department of:
Agriculture
Commerce
Education
Energy
Health and Human Services
Homeland Security
Housing and Urban Development
Labor
Interior
Transportation
Veterans Affairs*

All of the Departments that are left should either have at least a 10% cut of their budget. That means we could be able to cut taxes from 35% to 20-25% tax rate. This would really help boost the economy. Not only we would be able to cut taxes we would be able to simplify the tax code. The simplification of the tax code would bring a big boost in the economy because of all of the waste that takes place. Great example is when Corporation A have to hire a team of tax accountants to figure out what is the tax code and how many reductions can the Corporation can take. If the tax code is simplified that means Corporation A doesn't have to hire a team of tax accountants it can hire just one or two which would reduce the expense of Corporation A which equals big profits for the Corporation. Not only profits would go up but the Statement of Cash Flows would be a little bit better for companies because of the less tax obligation. In order to be able to cut taxes we need first cut spending.

*Veterans Affairs is another bureaucratic entity that doesn't get the Vets what they need/want from government. It is much better to be helped by family, friends, and charities. Yes, I do support the military.

A great halt happen on election day for intrusive Government

The Republicans have a 2nd chance if they mess this one up the Republican Party will not exist long. There is a particular race that I was excited for not in Minnesota but in Kentucky, the Senate race. I am very well please with the result of Rand Paul (son of thee Ron Paul) winning the election for Senate. Rand Paul had great victory at 55.8% while his opponent Jake Conway only took 44.2% of the votes. Rand Paul will help bring the Republican Party back to its roots.

Now, In Minnesota for the first time for 38 years the Republicans has controlled in the State Senate. "The GOP Senate takeover puts both legislative chambers under Republican control for the first time since 1972." - Josh Simeone from KSTP. The only thing that is now not in question in Minnesota is that who is going to be the next governor of Minnesota. There is a recount going on right now. This could process could take a months. If this process does take months that means Tim Pawlenty would still be governor. Tim Pawlenty could then cut spending quickly with a Republican controlled State Senate and House. I think that Pawlenty should go for it if this process takes months.

I am will please with the elections but still have a concern with the Republicans losing their soul in DC and St. Paul
